The School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance (SLG), the erstwhile Institute of Political Economy, has been providing theoretical and practical training in politics, law, governance, development work, and international relations since 1995.

The School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance seeks to address society’s current need for individuals that will bring to their legal and governance work a combination of broad culture, well-honed advocacy and policy analysis skills, ethics; a keen understanding of the holistic and integrated character of society, government, and business – all with a regional and global perspective
Mission
The School of Social Sciences Law, and Governance shall provide a rigorous interdisciplinary education in law, governance, and politics, endowed with a profound understanding of the social, political, cultural, and economic factors that shape society and organizations. All this is aimed at developing competent professionals who are committed to the values of citizenship and democratic governance toward the pursuit of the common good.
